p2 Period Poverty Initiative



p2-Period Poverty initiative is designed to raise awareness about disparities in our community when it comes to being supplied with the proper products to manage a monthly menstrual cycle. T.D.N. collects donations and distributes them to all the elementary schools, known afterschool programs in the city, girls softball teams, as well as local businesses.



Fill the Seats



Fill the Seats is an initiative dedicated to civic engagement and public awareness. T.D.N attends City Council meetings to keep the public informed about major issues that are of concern to residents. We advocate and participate in public input opportunities. Under this platform, we also host a bi-annual youth and candidates forum during election season. In the near future, we plan to host bipartisan workshops and educational sessions to prepare citizens on how to run for office and be a well informed voter.



Power to the Polls



Power to the Polls is T.D.N.'s version of a voter registration drive and community outreach event designed to educate the community of their voter rights.



Taunton Cultural Fair



Every June, T.D.N hosts a Cultural Fair to recognize and celebrate the various cultures that exist in Taunton. The Cultural Fair includes food, entertainment, resource tables and vendors.



TDN also participates in many city run events and events hosted by community leaders including: Annual Taunton Christmas Parade, Trunk or Treat, End of Summer Celebration, Whittenton Block Party, Cuts for Kids and Pride Day Event.
